Dr. Martha F. Jay
Ophthalmologist - Eye Physician and Surgeon

Dr. Martha F. Jay is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist with extensive experience in the medical and surgical care of the eyes. She trained at the prestigious Northwestern University Department of Ophthalmology, completing her residency in 1992.

Dr. Martha Jay is the past president of the local professional society of ophthalmologists (Milwaukee Ophthalmological Society), a testament to her standing with her peers.  She has been active in refractive surgery from the days of RK (radial keratotomy) and now is an accomplished LASIK surgeon. Before medical school, Dr. Jay completed a Ph.D. in Physiology. She did pioneering work in the vision field, publishing her dissertation project in the top medical journal, Nature.

Dr. Jay is not all work, however. She and her husband, a professor of English at UWM, enjoy downtown living.  They have a college-age daughter.  In the summer, look for them sailing of Lake Michigan.  In the winter, it’s off to the ski slopes.

Dr. Mark E. German
Optometrist

Dr. Mark E. German joined Lakeshore Eye Care Professionals in the Spring of 2000. As a Doctor of Optometry, he does many of the same things that Dr. Jay and Dr. Cueto do with the exception of surgery. Dr. German graduated from the Indiana University School of Optometry in 1987 and has practiced in the area since that time. He specializes in contact lens fitting and is also available for general eye examinations for patients of all ages.

Dr. Mark German lives with his wife along the shores of Big Cedar Lake in West Bend. If not on the water during the summer, look for him on the back of a Harley - it's those quiet ones who surprise you!

If your eyes are healthy or if you are interested in contact lenses, Dr. German is the best choice for you. He is very professional and expertly trained. Dr. German works closely with both Dr. Jay and Dr. Cueto and does not hesitate to refer you to their care should a more complex medical or surgical problem arise. Dr. Josephine-Liezl P. Cueto
Ophthalmologist – Eye Physician and Surgeon

Lakeshore Eye Care Professionals welcomed Dr. Josephine-Liezl Cueto to their team in the fall of 2009.  Dr. Cueto completed her ophthalmology training at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania.  Prior to that, she attended Saint Louis University for both undergraduate and medical training where she was a Phi Beta Kappa recipient and a Summa Cum Laude.  Dr. Cueto also attended Divine Savior Holy Angels High School where she graduated as Salutatorian.

Dr. Cueto practices general ophthalmology.  She welcomes patients of all ages and offers a wide range of medical and surgical eye care to her practice.  She is an ideal choice for patients with glaucoma, diabetes, cataracts, macular degeneration or other eye disorders.

Dr. Cueto is ecstatic to be returning to Wisconsin and reunited with her family.  She is looking forward to settling down and beginning her own family with her new husband.  When not working, she enjoys singing and dancing.  She has a deep passion for musicals and can often be spotted in the audience singing along.

Dr. Cueto is devoted to preserving vision and providing compassion with patient care.  She is honored to join Lakeshore Eye Care Professionals and will strive to uphold the ideals of dedication and personal service.  She is now scheduling appointments, give her a try and you will be impressed.
