Business Staff

Our Office Manager, Linda, oversees every aspect of your experience at Lakeshore Eye Care. She manages our staff of ophthalmic technicians, receptionists and billing specialists. With Linda, we all benefit from her almost 20 years of experience in health care management.

Our reception staff works with you to determine which doctor is the most appropriate for you and your family. They are trained to recognize emergency vision problems and get you the care you need, when you need it. They all pride themselves in really listening to you and trying to accommodate our schedule to meet your needs.

Our in-house billing staff saves you the headache of dealing with your insurance company. They bill most insurance companies along with Medicare and Medicare secondaries. Our up-to-date computer billing system electronically communicates with most health plans. Remember, however, if there has been a change in your insurance company or policy, we need to know so we can direct your claims appropriately.

Technical Staff

Our Surgical Coordinator, Marcy, is your source for everything you need to know about surgery at Lakeshore Eye Care. She explains what you will experience every step of the way and arranges your scheduling. She is knowledgeable about all procedures, including LASIK, BOTOX®, small incision cataract surgery and the new multi-focal IOLs.

Our ophthalmic technicians are Betsy, Sheri, Catherine and Amy. They assist our ophthalmologists, Dr. Jay and Dr. Costakos, in your care. We take pride in the fact that all our ophthalmic technicians are nationally certified. In order to achieve this status, they must pass rigorous tests concerning ophthalmology and must update their knowledge annually to maintain their certification. They are the best trained staff anywhere!

Our optometric technician is Leah. She assists our optometrist, Dr. German, in providing quality eye care. She is especially involved with our contact lens patients with teaching appropriate care and ordering the contacts.

Our ophthalmic scribe is Jodi. She helps the doctors keep your medical records organized and clear to improve our efficiency.

Optical Department

Our optical department is managed by Herslof Opticans. They are a respected local firm with years of optical experience. The company is family owned and now is in the hands of the third generation. Herslof Opticans pride themselves in providing quality products and friendly service. Both offices have a Herslof Optical shop in the lobby.
