About Our City
Mequon is a city in Southeastern Wisconsin located just 15 miles north of Milwaukee. In 2005, it was named 19th Best Small City in the United States out of 100 by CNN’s Money Magazine. It is still considered one of the top places to live in Milwaukee’s suburbs—residents enjoy the small-town feel just minutes from city living and activities. Half of the city is undeveloped farmland. It’s located close to Lake Michigan so there are plenty of beautiful sites to enjoy. It has many parks, five golf courses, and the winding Milwaukee River runs through it—grab your kayaks or canoes and enjoy a day on the water. Mequon has a lot to offer.
